We also brought in a team to help prune the younger sections of the orchard. John and I marked the branches with yellow paint, and the team came through to prune and mulch. It’s been a while since I thought this much about photosynthesis, but the reality is, fruit grows where the sunlight reaches. Our goal is to lower the trees, increase fruit production, and make harvesting easier. We’ll see in three years if this effort pays off, but we’re optimistic.
